Germany won the gold medal in the team sprint, winning their first Olympic medal in the event since winning gold in 2010. Katharina Hennig and Victoria Carl won their second Olympic medals, after they won the silver medal in the relay event a few days prior, with both skiers not having recorded top 5 results before. Maja Dahlqvist and Jonna Sundling won their third Olympic medals at their first Olympic appearance, with both Swedish skiers winning medals in the relay as well as the sprint event, where Sundling took gold and Dahlqvist took silver. Yulia Stupak and Natalia Nepryaeva won the bronze medal after both made their Olympic debuts in 2018, and with both winning their fourth Olympic medal. Though both won medals in the relay events in 2022 and in 2018, Stupak won a bronze medal in the women's sprint event in 2018 and Nepryaeva won a silver medal in the skiathlon in 2022. Kerttu Niskanen just missed out on her fourth Olympic medal by three seconds, and Krista Parmakoski stayed on five Olympic medals for the time being.
