Croatia first participated at the Olympic Games in 1992, although Croatian athletes have participated before, as part of Austria (until 1912), and as part of Yugoslavia (until 1988). This nation has participated in every Winter Olympic Games since 1992.

Croatia has won more than 40 medals at the Olympic Games, of which 10 in Alpine Skiing.

The Croatian Olympic Committee was created in 1991 and recognized in 1993.
