Coline Mattel has competed for France Coline Mattel has won 1 bronze medal at the Olympic Games

Coline Mattel is a ski jumper who has competed for France. She competed at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. She took part in the inaugural edition of the women's ski jumping competition in 2014, and entered as one of the outsiders for the medals. She finished the 2013 World Cup season as third, including a fourth-placed finish at the most recent world championships, but her 2014 season didn't start off as well, despite a silver medal at the Junior World Ski Championships only a few weeks prior, behind Sara Takanashi. However, she proved to be a force to be reckoned with in the first round of the competition: with a jump nearing the 100 metres, she took a provisional second place behind Carina Vogt, and had a lead of 1.6 points over Takanashi for silver. Her second jump was less successful, jumping a distance of 97.5 metres with a round total of 119.5 points, leaving her with eighth place of the second jump, but remained on the podium with a bronze medal after Daniela Iraschko-Stolz took silver, and became the first French medalist ever in Olympic ski jumping.
