Claudia Poll is a swimmer who has competed for Costa Rica. She competed at the 1996, 2000, and 2004 Summer Olympic Games. She set a historic record as the first-ever athlete from Costa Rica and entire Central America (until 2008) to win an Olympic gold medal.

At her first Olympics in 1996, Poll followed her older sister's path to become the country's first ever Olympic champion, as she upset the German duo of Franziska van Almsick and Dagmar Hase for the gold in the 200 metres freestyle (1:58.16). She continued her podium streak four years later in Sydney with a bronze each in the 200 and 400 metres freestyle. Poll entered the same swimming program at her third Olympics in 2004, but she barely missed the top eight final in any of her races.

She is the younger sister of Seoul 1988 silver medalist Silvia Poll.
