Chris Fydler is a swimmer who has competed for Australia. He competed at the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Summer Olympic Games.

Fydler's major Olympic success transpired when his country Sydney hosted the Games in 2000. There, he and the Australian men's team of Michael Klim, Ashley Callus and Ian Thorpe upset the undefeated Americans to snatch the gold in the 4x100 metres freestyle relay with a new world record time (3:13.67).

He is married to Moscow 1980 swimmer Rosemary Brown.
