Carrie Steinseifer is a swimmer who has competed for the United States. She competed at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games.
Steinseifer's major Olympic success transpired in the 100 metres freestyle, when she tied for gold with her teammate Nancy Hogshead. She also helped the American women's team of Hogshead, Jenna Johnson, and Dara Torres reclaim their 4x100 metres freestyle title after eight years. She swam through the freestyle leg in the 4x100 metres medley relay heats before Hogshead replaced her on the U.S. women's team that solidified a gold-medal triumph in the final.
