The women's slalom k1 of Canoeing 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 27–28 July 2024 in the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium. With 25 athletes competing, the event was won by Jessica Fox from Australia, with Klaudia Zwolinska from Poland taking the silver medal and Kimberley Woods from Great Britain taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of three phases. In the qualification, each athlete goes down the course twice, and the select few with the fastest time in either run advances to the semifinal. In both the semifinal and the final, each canoeist sets a single time. The athletes with the fastest times either advance or set their classification.
Preview[]
Twenty-five athletes qualified for the event with several medal contenders. Jessica Fox was three-time world champion in the event, yet she had never won a gold at the Games after claiming a silver each in 2012 and 2016 and a bronze in 2020.
