The men's sprint k2 500 metre of Canoeing 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 7–9 August 2024 in the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium. With 20 pairs competing, the event was won by Max Lemke and Jacob Schopf from Germany, with Bence Nadas and Sandor Totka from Hungary taking the silver medal and Thomas Green and Jean van der Westhuyzen from Australia taking bronze.

Format[]

The competition exists out of four rounds, each with races of up to eight boats. In each round, the top few with the fastest time advance to the next round, together with a number of fastest non-qualifiers. The fastest team in the final is the winner of the event.

Preview[]

Twenty pairs qualified for the event with the boats from Hungary and Portugal as the favorites for the title.
