The men's 80 kg of Boxing 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 27 July–7 August 2024 in the North Paris Arena and Roland Garros Stadium. With 18 athletes competing, the event was won by Oleksandr Khyzhniak from Ukraine, with Nurbek Oralbay from Kazakhstan taking the silver medal and Arlen Lopez Cardona from Cuba and Cristian Javier Pinales from Dominican Republic taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of a single elimination tournament, with athletes competing against each other in a head-to-head format. Each contest consists of three rounds of three minutes, with the knockout draw based on a seeding system. After nine minutes, the competitor with the highest number of points advances to the next round. The athlete with the most points in the final wins the event.
