The men's welterweight of Boxing 2020 during the 2020 Summer Olympics was held on 24 July-3 August 2021 in the Kokugikan Arena. With 23 athletes competing, the event was won by Roniel Iglesias from Cuba, with Pat McCormack from Great Britain taking the silver medal and Aidan Walsh from Ireland and Andrei Zamkovoi from ROC taking bronze.
The competition exists out of a single elimination tournament, with athletes competing against each other in a head-to-head format. Each contest consists of three rounds of three minutes, with the knockout draw based on a seeding system. After nine minutes, the competitor with the highest number of points advances to the next round. The athlete with the most points in the final wins the event.

Twenty-three athletes qualified for the event with European Games champion and Commonwealth Games champion Pat McCormack, world champion Andrei Zamkovoi, 2012 Olympic champion Roniel Iglesias, and Zeyad Eishaih Hussein Eashash as the top seeds.
