Boxing at the 1984 Summer Olympics was held from 29 July to 11 August 1984 at the Memorial Sports Arena.

With the increasing size of heavyweight boxers (which put lighter heavyweights at a disadvantage), the heavyweight division was divided into two. The boxers above 200 pounds were placed in the inaugural and newly-created super heavyweight division.
