Borislav Stefanov Novachkov has competed for Bulgaria

Borislav Stefanov Novachkov is a wrestler who has competed for Bulgaria. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

He was the youngest Bulgarian male freestyle wrestling to compete in Rio de Janeiro, and the second-youngest Bulgarian male wrestler behind Daniel Tihomirov Aleksandrov. In the 65 kilograms tournament of the freestyle wrestling competition, he was set up in the first round against the bronze medalist of the most recent world championships Meisam Abolfazl Nasiri. The Bulgarian was able to win the bout 10 - 7 (3 - 1 in classification points) to advance to the next round, in which Franklin Gomez awaited. The Puerto Rican, who had won a silver medal at the world championships in 2011 in a lower weight category, got the better of Novachkov, winning the bout 7 - 4 (3 - 1 in classification points). Gomez would lose in the next round against Ikhtiyor Navruzov, who won an Olympic bronze medal. Due to the classification rules, Novachkov was ranked 8th in the competition, with Gomez being ranked ninth.
