Beth Barr is a swimmer who has competed for the United States. She competed at the 1988 Summer Olympic Games.
Barr swam through the backstroke leg to deliver the American team of Tracey McFarlane, Janel Jorgensen, and Mary Wayte a runner-up spot in the 4x100 metres medley relay. On the individual side, she placed fifth the 100 metres backstroke and barely missed her first individual medal with a fourth spot in the 200.
A year after the Games, Barr's swimming career shelved in a horseback riding accident that shattered her arm. She could not recover sufficiently and prepare for the next Games. In 1996, she was poised for another selection bid on the U.S. team until food poisoning and bacterial pneumonia plagued her health and ended her swimming career.
