The Beijing National Speed Skating Oval (北京国家速滑馆) was the only newly built venue in the legacy area of Beijing 2022, though it was built on the location which hosted the archery and field hockey competitions in 2008. The stadium, which was also named as "The Ice Ribbon", was used to host the speed skating competitions at the Winter Olympic Games in 2022 and had a capacity of 12,000 during the competition. After the stadium hosted the Olympic Games, it was used as a venue to host competitive and recreative speed skating and ice hockey events.
