Basketball 2024/3x3 women's tournament

The 3x3 women's tournament of Basketball 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 30 July–5 August 2024 in the La Concorde. With 8 teams competing, the event was won by the team from Germany, with Spain taking the silver medal and United States taking bronze.

Format[]

The competition exists out a single round-robin, with each team playing another once. Standings are primarily based on win/loss-record, with the first team reaching 21 points, or the most points after a certain time limit, winning a match. The top two ranked teams advance to the semifinals, and the bottom two ranked teams are directly eliminated. The remaining four teams compete for a spot in the semifinals. Winners of the semifinals advance to the final, where the gold medal winner will be named.

Eight teams qualified for the event with the United States as the top favorite for the title, the 2023 World Cup winner, and the defending Olympic champion. Behind the American team, plenty of medal contenders are aiming to win the gold, including China as the top nation in the world rankings.
