The women's triple jump of Athletics 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 2–3 August 2024 in the Stade de France. With 31 athletes competing, the event was won by Thea Lafond from Dominica, with Shanieka Ricketts from Jamaica taking the silver medal and Jasmine Moore from United States taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of two separate rounds. In the qualification, each competitor gets three attempts to jump as far as possible. After three attempts, the twelve best performance advance to the final, including athletes tied for twelfth place. In the final, the qualified athletes once again get three attempts, with the eight best-placed athletes after three attempts receiving three more to jump as far as possible. The athlete with the farthest jump after six attempts in the final wins the event.
Preview[]
Thirty-one athletes qualified for the event with plenty of medal contenders in the field after the defending Olympic champion pulled out of the Games with an injury.
