The women's hammer throw of Athletics 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 4–6 August 2024 in the Stade de France. With 32 athletes competing, the event was won by Camryn Rogers from Canada, with Annette Nneka Echikunwoke from United States taking the silver medal and Zhao Jie from China taking bronze.

Format

The competition exists out of two separate rounds. In the qualification, each competitor gets three attempts to throw a "hammer" of over 7 kilograms as far as possible. After three attempts, the twelve best performance advance to the final, including athletes tied for twelfth place. In the final, the qualified athletes once again get three attempts to reach as far as possible, but contrary to the qualification, the eight best-placed athletes get another three attempts. The athlete with the farthest throw wins the event.

Thirty-two athletes qualified for the event with 2019 world champion Deanna Price, three-time Olympic champion Anita Wlodarczyk, and reigning world champion Camryn Rogers as the top favorites for the title.
