The women's 1500 metre of Athletics 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 6–10 August 2024 in the Stade de France. With 44 athletes competing, the event was won by Faith Kipyegon from Kenya, with Jessica Hull from Australia taking the silver medal and Georgia Bell from Great Britain taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of four rounds, each with races of up to fifteen athletes. In the opening round, the top four with the fastest time advance to the semifinal. The rest of the athletes have another chance for the remaining spots through the new repechage round. In the semifinal round, the top five with the fastest time advance to the final, together with a number of fastest non-qualifiers. The fastest competitor in the final is the winner of the event.
