The women's 100 metre of Athletics 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 2–3 August 2024 in the Stade de France. With 91 athletes competing, the event was won by Julien Alfred from Saint Lucia, with Sha'carri Richardson from United States taking the silver medal and Melissa Jefferson from United States taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of three rounds, each with races of up to nine athletes. In each round, the top two with the fastest time advance to the next round, together with a number of fastest non-qualifiers. The fastest competitor in the final is the winner of the event.

Ninety-one athletes qualified for the event with plenty of medal contenders in the field after the defending Olympic champion withdrew from the Games due to injury.
