The men's 5000 metre of Athletics 2024 during the 2024 Summer Olympics was held on 7–10 August 2024 in the Stade de France. With 41 athletes competing, the event was won by Jakob Ingebrigtsen from Norway, with Ronald Kwemoi from Kenya taking the silver medal and Grant Fisher from United States taking bronze.
Format[]
The competition exists out of two rounds, each with races of up to twenty-five athletes. In the first round, the top five with the fastest time advance to the next round, together with the five fastest non-qualifiers. The fastest competitor in the final is the winner of the event.
