Andrea Nugent is a swimmer who has competed for Canada. She competed at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympic Games.
Nugent started her Olympic career at Seoul 1988, where she swam through the freestyle leg to snare the bronze for the Canadian team of Lori Melien, Allison Higson, and Jane Kerr in the 4x100 metres medley relay. She also helped the Canadian women's team secure a sixth spot in the 4x100 metres freestyle relay. On the individual side, Nugent's results weakened as she barely advanced from the heats of the sprint freestyle double (50 and 100) and the 100 metres butterfly.
Four years later in Barcelona, Nugent returned to her second Games with fair chances of improving her position in the individual events from Seoul. She steered the Canadian women to take the last spot of the top eight teams in the 4x100 metres freestyle relay and place sixth in the 4x100 metres medley relay on the rear of her freestyle leg. She tied for the eleventh spot with Dutch sprinter Marianne Muis in the 50 metres freestyle and closed out the B-final of the 100 in last place and sixteenth overall.
