Anders Holmertz is a swimmer who has competed for Sweden. He competed at the 1984, 1988, 1992, and 1996 Summer Olympic Games.

Holmertz was the one of the top Swedish swimmers in the 1980s and 1990s though he never attained a single gold. When he first competed as a 16-year-old in 1984, he missed the medal rounds of the 200 metres freestyle, finishing twelfth overall in the B-final.

Holmertz has continued to be a member of the Swedish swimming team at Seoul 1988, Barcelona 1992, and Atlanta 1996. In 1988, he entered the final of the men's 200 metres freestyle as one of the top medal contenders. Swimming in lane eight, he came from third at the final turn to surge past Matthew Biondi but he surprisingly finished the race with a silver behind the world record holder Duncan Armstrong by more than a full second. He managed to repeat his runner-up feat from Seoul in his pet race four years later in Barcelona and added an individual bronze to his medal haul in the 400 metres freestyle, losing both races to Evgueni Sadovyi. He also helped the Swedish team of Lars Frölander, Christer Wallin, and Tommy Werner score a runner-up feat with a national record time in the 4x200 metres freestyle relay.

Atlanta 1996 saw Holmertz's last podium finish when he and the Swedish team trailed the Americans in the pool by a couple of seconds to repeat their runner-up feat in the 4x200 metres freestyle relay. On the individual side, he was expected to add another medal in his pet race but finished fifth in the final.

Shortly after his fourth Games, Holmertz retired from competitive swimming.
