The women's slalom of Alpine Skiing 2018 during the 2018 Winter Olympics was held on 16 February 2018 in the Yongpyong Alpine Centre. With 78 athletes competing, the event was won by Frida Hansdotter from Sweden, with Wendy Holdener from Switzerland taking the silver medal and Katharina Gallhuber from Austria taking bronze.

The competition exists out of two races. The competitor with the fastest combined time without missing one of the gates is the winner.

Seventy-eight athletes qualified for the event, with Mikaela Shiffrin as defending Olympic champion and a top favorite for this event. She could expect the most contention from Frida Hansdotter, Petra Vlhova and Veronika Velez Zuzulova. Other medal contenders included Wendy Holdener, Anna Swenn Larsson and Bernadette Schild.

Run 1[]
Wendy Holdener was the first skier to go, and she set a strong time of below 49 seconds, and that time wouldn't be broken in the first run. Nina Haver-Loeseth did set a time only a second behind Holdener, but her time was broken by favorite Mikaela Shiffrin and Anna Swenn Larsson. Frida Hansdotter set another good time, only 0.2 seconds behind Holdener, giving her a clear chance for a medal. Medal contender Veronika Velez Zuzulova disappointed with the 21st fastest time, while Swede Emelie Wikstroem surprised with the sixth fastest time, being one of two others to race within a second of Holdener, the other one being Chiara Costazza.
Run 2[]
The second run was won by Katharina Gallhuber, and with the ninth time in the first run, she was able to climb to third place in the final standings. Frida Hansdotter was able to overtake Wendy Holdener, respectively getting the second and fifth time of the second run while Mikaela Shiffrin defended her fourth place in the standings, with 0.08 seconds difference with the bronze medal. Erin Mielzynski raced to the same time as Shiffrin in the second run, and was able to climb to 11th place, from 22nd place after the first run. Anna Swenn-Larsson lost her bronze medal position, dropping to the fifth position, in favor of Nina Haver-Loeseth, who dropped to sixth. Bernadette Schild, Katharina Liensberger, Chiara Costazza and Irene Curtoni completed the top 10.

Frida Hansdotter won her first medal in her third Olympic appearance. The specialist in the slalom had finished fifth in the slalom in 2014. Wendy Holdener also won her first Olympic medal, after two retirements in 2014. Katharina Gallhuber won the bronze medal at her very first appearance at the Olympic Games. Mikaela Shiffrin was not able to defend her title by finishing fourth, with Anna Swenn Larsson, Nina Haver-Loeseth, Bernadette Schild, and Katharina Liensberger earning their first or best result.
