Akwasi Frimpong is a skeleton rider who has competed for Ghana. He competed at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. An injury ruined his chances to be selected for the 2012 Summer Olympics athletics relay tournament, although he was also selected as a second reserve for the bobsleigh team of the Netherlands during the 2014 Winter Olympics. He finished last in the skeleton tournament at Pyeongchang 2018, participating as a Ghanese athlete. He was the flag bearer of Ghana during the opening ceremony of Pyeongchang 2018.
