Abobakr Abass is a swimmer who has competed for Sudan. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games. He was selected to carry the Sudanese flag during the Tokyo 2020 opening ceremony with Esraa Khogali.
He competed in the second heat of the men's 100 metres breaststroke in Tokyo in the postponed Olympic Games in 2021, and finished sixth in the heat with a new Sudanese national record of 1:04.46. He was almost five seconds shy of qualification for the semifinals, and finished forty-fifth in the competition, as the second-best African swimmer behind Sebastien Kouma.
